GW:EN - Assassin Armor
It's probably too late, but;
I'm pretty sure that I had read on Wiki that each class will get 4 new sets of armor in GW:EN. So please, in the name of all things good and sane, make at least one of the assassin's new sets of armor loose-fitting, without any of the ridiculous blades sticking out, please!!! *Sob*
It doesn't have to look like a freaking ninja, I just want something that doesn't make him look like a masochistic gymnast!
The legs especially need to be loose, 'cause male assassins have serious chicken legs. In fact, I'd accept it if every other piece of armor in all 4 sets made them look like steel porcupines as long as they had 1 pair of loose pants.

Neither of those are really what I meant, though I'd be fine with Mithran's picture. I just meant not skin tight.

agreed. this is something I have complained about before. assassins look like a tailor and the ginsu company worked out a deal. First when you have a 12" blade on your shoulder how do you keep from cutting your own throat?
/signed for more armor

With the release two weeks away and the preview even sooner then that, yes, it's way too late, but other then that I agree. I don't even really want ninja armour per-se, I just want the frikken useless blades removed. Assassins should be fast movers. You have any idea how heavy steel is? If there were any sort of actually endurance to the game an assassin would collapse inside of 10 meters after walking with all that extra steel on them.

That's ignoring the fact they might disembowel themselves if they roll or turn just a little too fast.
They can at least remove the blades from some of the armor sets before release, that's a simple process.

Shooting fireballs is fine, but what would your opinion be if eles had little wands jutting out all over their clothes?

the biggest problem isnt all the blades its how exagerated they made them all. Small blades might be tolerable. but the primevil or ancient i forget which has 2' blades coming from all directions. it doesnt even look good.

Sins with MC Hammer pants would pwn. I like the majority of the sin armor also. Alittle loose clothes never hurt.

I found this looking around the forums: http://s183.photobucket.com/albums/x...nt=6bwqqh4.jpg
If they shortened all of the blades sticking out by atleast half (especially the shoulders), and loosened the hell out of the pants, it'd look pretty cool.

so...SO /signed for this
It's sad that you have to either get the cheapest or the most expensive(Vabbi, FoW) armor to not look like a Swiss Army knife. I always thought, if the blades actually did damage it would make sense. And these guys aren't Sam Fisher. They aren't SEALs. Why are they wearing wetsuits? Assassins need to blend in, and have freedom of body movement. the Shing Jea armor is about the only armor that comes close. As for the Elonian armor.....since it's a Middle East theme, shouldn't it be like the original "Hashishans"(from which assassin was derived), dressed more like the armor you see the Kournans and Vabbians wear? You could even sub the turban and veil for the mask. sweetness.
So yeah, at the least, more freedom of movement, less spikeyness.

I'm sure its too late to /sign for this but I have managed to make an armor combo that at least makes the leggings look a little bit fatter (for anyone that hates butt tight leggings on assassins)....
Unfortunately, Anet seems to have a fetish regarding butt hugging pants and spikes....
It couldve been so easy for Anet to add some "Canthan Guard type Leggings" for assassins.... Oh well.... Maybe in GW2....

Yeah, the only "bladed" armor that looks okay is Vabbian, and that's just because I like the color/patterns.

Male sin armor makes them look too... smooth. It's like graduating from Shing Jea as an assassin means becoming a eunuch.
I hate pretty much all the Sin armor because it all looks the same. Dark, bladed, and skin tight.
/signed for variety, even though it's really too late.
